What We Do
How We're Different
We are the only international support group specifically for today's at-home mother. Our chapter is part of a non-profit International MOMS Club organization. We have guidelines that we abide by and we are given support in all areas to keep our group running smooth.
The MOMS Club is a wonderful way for you to meet other at-home mothers who share your interests and concerns. Most of our activities are during the day, when moms need support the most. Children are welcome at all daytime activities.
How We Got Started
The MOMS Club was started in 1983, in Simi Valley California by a woman named Mary B. James. She was looking for a social network for her and her children. She was also looking for ways to be an active part of the community while still raising her children herself. With that the MOMS Club was born. In 1985 the Club became National and in 1996 it became International.
Our chapter was started in October 2004 by current member Stefany Austin and former member Lindsey Maki. Stefany was online looking for a support group when she came across the MOMS Club International website. MOMS Club connected Stefany with Lindsey who was also looking for a support group in the area. The girls quickly learned the ropes, had an open house and our chapter has been growing rapidly ever since.
